Hallowe'en came early this early in the form of the Fancy Dress Ceili, organised by Bord na Gaeilge and SFFS(Sci Fi blah blah blah).

In a valiant fight against the onslaught of Christmas, Hallowe'en started early this year with the Ceili Mór Ramhar on Thursday night. It was fancy dress, which just added to the craziness of dancing around the Astra Hall in the first place. Nearly everybody had made some sort of effort, from the man with a paper bag over his head, to the eventual winner of the bottle of absinthe prize, D. Pepper.

Dr. Pepper's costume consisted of a white lab coat, with various peppers and chiles hanging off it on string, and the snappy catchphrase "What's the worst that could happen?" emblazoned across his back. Not bad at all really although the assembled forces of the army of monsters and guys with big masks were very disappointed to not even make it through to the second round.

In a quick round up of other news, Gee and Anto got back from Sunderland in one piece, with eoin grinning from ear to ear about the ...eh friendliness of the local womenfolk. Any scandal or just plain rumour will be posted here just as soon as i get it.

The windurfing society are organising a trip to Dromineer next friday 1st november. it costs €55 which includes travel and accomadation and as much boarding as you can shake a sticky thing at. If anyone is interested they gotta become a member and do it soon! Also L&H will be announcing the Strauss Ball soon, and i have it on good authority that the number of tables will be strictly limited. So if someone wants to start thinking about a group of 10 people for a table, you better do it now too.

A new section on the site is the update page, which basically tells you what i've done to the site and when. Not really a stadium gig, more a freshers ball of entertainment, free and without a point. But it didn't cos €50,000 so i'm happy!
